Round 1

I played a kid that I hadn’t played before. He sacked a pawn for play early on. Probably it’s because it is an 1.e4 e5 closed opening, but looking at this game with an engine, it’s more about this move is -.5, but this move is -.3, etc. This game was more the sum totality of small details rather than any really earth-shattering dynamic play.

  1. As soon as you were able to hold off this “something” with queen and 2 bishops it went downhill for him. Your pawn majority was important at this point.
